A Message From Dr. Ian Gray

A Message From Dr. Ian Gray

In previous newsletter, I have discussed implants to replace a single tooth and implants to help support a denture. Implants also have another application. If you are missing say three teeth in a row, you don't have to replace each missing tooth with a separate implant.

You can place an implant at either end and build a bridge. An implant bridge reduces the cost plus it splints the implant which helps distributes the forces better. (A bridge is something that we do regularly with natural teeth as well.) An implant bridge has excellent long term prognosis.

Sincerely,
Dr. Ian Gray
